The name Bali Hai comes from the movie South Pacific (1958), where the pyramid-shaped Makana Mountain on Kauai’s north shore represented a mystical distant island by that name.
Our pottery features original designs by Kaua’i artist. Each piece is hand painted by our team, using lead free glazes and fired in solar-powered kilns. The Banana Patch art studio, in the small town of Hanapepe, is happy to contribute to keeping our Hawaiian islands green and beautiful!
Each made-to-order piece is unique and will have slight variations in color and/or pattern from the pictures shown. For best care, we recommend hand washing and no microwave use.

Since visiting banana patch studios years ago in Kauai, we have been enjoying their most unique and exceptional pottery ever since.
